Important FFA Updates!!!!!
Please consider donating at our annual blood drive with the American Red Cross, sponsored by our FFA chapter. It will be held on Monday, February 19th from 2 to 7 pm. There is a desperate need for blood. Please consider donating! Refreshments will be served. FFA officers will receive permission forms about helping with this event.

You may go to www.redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment under our blood drive. You can enter "22657" to search for our drive.

2. We will have an interest meeting for all FFA members who are interested in being a part of our FFA Small Animal Care team. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 17th after school until 5 pm. Permission forms are available on the table outside of the ag. classroom, or students can see Mrs. Ryan for one.

3. We will have our kick-off to the new year celebration meeting for all FFA members on Friday, January 19th in the cafeteria after school until 5 pm. Our eighth grade FFA officers have been working hard to prepare workshops for our members. We will also have refreshments and door prizes. Please be sure that your member attends. Permission forms are on a blue piece of paper and are available outside of the ag. classroom, or members can see Mrs. Ryan for information.
**All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade FFA officers are expected to attend.

4. On Monday, January 15th, eighth grade FFA officers will have the unique opportunity to travel to Broadway, Virginia to record radio pubilc service announcementsfor National FFA Week. Permission forms will be distributed to those students in class. Space is limited.

5. We will have our first Food and Fiber, Plant Science, and Conduct of Meetings contest practices on Monday, January 22nd after school until 5 pm. Permission forms will be available at school next week. We will attempt to provide members with an overview of each contest area during this time.

6. Our FFA Valentine's Dance will be held on Friday, February 9th from 6 to 8 pm. We will need parents to assist with chaperoning the dance. Please let me know if you're available and I will send you the volunteer form to complete.

7. We have the following items available to purchase from the FFA fundraiser: rib-eye steaks, sausage, ground beef, and one red velvet cake roll. Please let me know if you're interested.

8. National FFA Week will be held February 17th - 24th. We will have many activities planned for our FFA members, so please be on the lookout for information.
First Lego Team Meeting
First LEGO team meets every Wednesday from 3:15-4:30 in room 502. Questions can be directed to Mrs. Price at chprice@shenandoah.k12.va.us
